About

Cristiana Radu is a drawing addict who lives in Bucharest as a free-lance illustrator. She fell in love with drawing as a way of translating and understanding the world since she was little and has been using it since as a communication tool and a way of urging stories into being.

She was nominated to Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award, currently the world’s largest award for children’s and young adult literature. The Romanian nominees for 2019 are: Silviu Băiaș, Andrea Kürti, Cristiana Radu.

She was shortlisted in the World Illustration Awards 2017 in the children’s book category.
